Visual Studio Code v 1.0 released.

Yesterday, April 14, 2016, Microsoft announced the release of the first version of the code editor, Visual Studio Code v 1.0. According to their blog, 2 million developers have used the tool since the project's inception a year ago. Currently, statistics show that 500,000 developers are actively using this product every month. These statistics make it worth checking out this solution. Initially, the product was aimed at web developers using JavaScript and TypeScript; however, over the past six months, the community has created over 1,000 extensions supporting virtually any programming language.
