VirtualBox can sometimes surprise you with an unusual error, even if it was working perfectly just a moment ago. This time, it's a minor issue that frequently appears after updating the hypervisor itself. I have observed this in Windows environments, and it specifically concerns network adapter options that VirtualBox creates for its own use, which are not enabled by default. The error message indicates that the program cannot open or create an internal network connection. The error looks something like this:
The solution is very simple and involves enabling the options that, in my opinion, should be enabled by default since their absence causes the error. In the VirtualBox network adapter settings, we need to check two options:
Perhaps this will be resolved in future releases, but for now, after an update, these options are unchecked again and must be enabled manually.
