Can a game without graphic elements be engaging? It turns out that yes! Zero graphics, the look of a page made in pure HTML from before the centuries. However, millions of people around the world are staring at it and having fun creating a corporation that produces office paperclips. The player has only buttons at their disposal, with which they can make decisions about the product price, raw material purchase, and the number of paperclips produced per second. Each decision is reflected in a simulated sales effect. The adventure begins with a manually made single paperclip and its sale. After a short while, we already have a machine that produces paperclips. Further, we can even have fun investing the earned funds.

Although this game can initially be considered a joke, there is no ordinary flashing digits here. Playing it, you can learn a lot about artificial intelligence and about yourself.

The game's plot comes from a parable presented by the author of a popular publication on learning machines - Nick Bostrom. The story concerned the issue of trying to explain what would happen if artificial intelligence decided to take over a company that produces office paperclips. Where should one start when starting such a business? Maybe you need to determine how many customers there are for such a product, what their needs are, and how many to produce? But what if these questions are omitted by artificial intelligence, and it only deals with the production itself in a perfectly perfect way and tries to flood the whole world with office paperclips?

The book in the form of an e-book can be purchased here.

The game's author is designer Frank Lantz, which only confirms its quality despite simplicity.

Before I give you the link to the game, I must warn you that launching it may threaten isolation, avoidance of family, neglect of duties and work, and all the consequences associated with your absence.

I won't write anything more (at your own risk) - you can check it out yourself ;-) Don't forget to allocate funds for marketing ;-)
